An excellent opportunity has arisen working for a Major Financial Organisation of ours for a Service & Problem Analyst.
The Client is looking for someone to provide technical support for the global business users. Group Head Office, Prudential UK, Jackson and Prudential Corporation Asia.
Provision of 3rd/4th line escalation path for PGDS/infrastructure related support tasks and issues
Resolve incidents and problems including prioritising and escalating to expert groups when appropriate.
Liaise closely with Technical Support Analysts to resolve problems and transfer knowledge on known errors to for re-occurring problems.
Provision and management of the GHO IT "service layer" allowing ease of application deployment whilst providing data security, resilience and application management functions
Perform application installation, configuration & maintenance tasks.
Develop scripts & tools (including CMDB) to automate environment management tasks
Investigate and resolve environment & application issues.
Strong exposure and understanding of application infrastructure, including grid computing environments.
System/application design/installation/architecture and support experience.
Application Capacity/Performance/Resilience/Monitoring and Recovery design and management.
Ability to draft/understand functional and technical design documents
Backend application knowledge, eg Oracle, SQL, Grid computing environments
Application change control and application source code control skills.
Technical Design Authority and sign off for non-development changes to systems and processes.
Familiarity with Scripting and code technologies to assist with support and management of applications, environments and developer requirements.
Full project life cycle skills. Experience of large scale, complex, multi-user projects with extremely large parameters
Creative and solution driven. Looks for ways to make things happen as opposed to reasons why they can't be done.
Excellent stakeholder skills, is able to effectively listen, communicate, challenge and influence team members, immediate peer group and senior managers.
Ability to liaise with product vendors and 3rd parties to clarify solution requirements particular to the group.
Able to maintain composure and professionalism in pressurised, stressful and uncertain situations.
