Finance Manager - CIPFA/ACA/ACCA - Public Sector - Social Services - South West London/Surrey Boarders
A Finance Manager with Social Services experience is urgently required to provide financial advice and manage the core financial processes of the assigned service(s) to ensure effective financial management in delivery of the Council's vision, objectives and priorities as set out in the corporate plan and departmental plans within budget and making best use of resources available.
To advise departments/services on the best use of resources available and compliance with the Council's corporate financial framework.
The postholder will be expected to manage the operational aspects of the following processes:
- Developing and setting departmental annual and longer term budgets, providing operational financial advice and support as required.
- Assessing financial implications of strategy proposals.
- Financial monitoring of budgets.
- Closedown and production of the departmental accounts
- Developing financial information for key departmental projects including through use of Oracle systems.
- Completing government and other external returns, grant claims and statistical forms.
