Summary
This is a 6 month+ contract opportunity. The Data Analyst is responsible for project level analysis and design of the data assets to support the overall technology strategy. The Data Analyst must evaluate functional and technical business requirements and be able to transform those requirements into conceptual/logical data models (and ultimately physical data models) that efficiently enable expected application and/or analytic capabilities. To be successful in this role one must be able to work effectively in a fluid, fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills with engineering team members, operations support staff and business contacts. In addition, the successful Data Analyst must be able to work with minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide design, development, implementation and maintenance of design artifacts such as conceptual and logical data models.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis at project level. Create and maintain project level data flow diagrams.
- Data validation as part of project level quality assurance.
- Become a trusted technical advisor with key internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree Minimum of 3 years of systems support/data analysis experience 2+ years of PL/SQL and accessing Oracle database structure 3 years experience with enterprise wide reporting tools, Microstrategy preferred
- Experience with SAS datasets and programming language a huge plus! Familiarity with Informatica, XML and ETL a plus.
