Treasury Business Control:
Treasury Business Control is one of five business control functions and is responsible for supporting the core banking businesses of the UK Bank, namely Money Markets, FX & Liquidity reporting.

This encompasses:

  • Production, analysis and commentary on the MM and FX trading P&L and Risk
  • Sourcing close of business market data, and price verification of MM and FX positions,
  • Managing the General Ledger and other associated business controls.
  • Monitoring liquidity exposure

Role:
The successful candidate will join the Murex Implementation Project - FX & FXO Trade Migration team, as a Senior Business Analyst.

During the course of there will be two simultaneous FX projects running and the individual chosen will be involved in Finance related aspects of these initiatives, along with strong involvement in the detailed analysis of requirements of the department.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Gather and translate business requirements for Murex solution design, modelling transactions through the system to ensure business requirements are met.
  • Liaise with the different Murex, Business and Technical stakeholders to ensure successful solution configuration.
  • Manage programs of work in accordance with projected timelines, budgets and quality standards.
  • Develop and present solutions and recommendations.
  • Lead financial analysis and business case development, applying new conceptual frameworks and analytical approaches.

Requirements:

  • A numerate Bachelor's degree; or higher in related field preferred.Several years exposure to Murex 2
  • Deep experience within Investment Banking (Finance exposure preferred) in a client-facing role.
  • Several years to Murex in Banking/financial services
  • Business analysis and configuration experience with Murex, for FX Spot, Forward and Option Trades.
  • Deep understanding of the business concepts and capabilities of Murex as well as business processes, functional designs and requirements for a Murex implementation or upgrade.
  • Good understanding of Financial Markets trading throughout the whole transaction life cycle across multiple asset classes, especially Finance aspects.
  • Previous experience of being involved in the various stages of testing a Murex system.
  • Possess excellent working knowledge of SQL and VBA
  • Possess the ability to work to aggressive timescales
  • Have a proven ability to understand the dependencies with a multi layered EoD batch process and to add significant input to the redesign process
