Vehicle Technician - Coventry
Our client is looking for a Vehicle Technician for the next 2 months and possibly onwards in to 2012. The Vehicle Technician will be part of a highly adaptable team of technicians who conduct vehicle rectification, warranty tasks, upgrades and perform engineering design upgrades to vehicles which are sold to the MoD. The candidate should have a proven history as an experienced technician fitting, modifying and diagnosing faults in accordance with design specifications.
Essential Skills.
Demonstrable knowledge of automotive systems and how they work together.
Team player who is customer focussed.
IT literate.
Flexible.
Minimum qualification requirement.
Time served apprenticeship.
NVQ and/or City & Guilds Level 3 in a vehicle mechanics based course.
Highly Desirable Skills.
Experience of working on heavy military vehicles especially Mastiff, Ridgback, Wolfhound.
Location
The normal place of work is Nuneaton but travel to other sites (Coventry and Tewkesbury) may be required.
Remuneration
The position is paid hourly and the rate varies depending on skills, qualifications and experience
40 hours per week
Business mileage 45p per mile
