Urgent Need - Open Source Cloud/Mobile Lead Developer
Contract Position
Location - Atlanta Only
Role Description
Hands-on software developer needed to conceptualize, prototype, and productionize location based services systems and Middleware enablers.
Must have a solid understating of APIs and protocols for exposing services to/from other operational systems and network components for the determination and delivery of mobile location information and services.
Additionally must be familiar with database queries and data analysis tools.
Familiarity with cloud computing and large scale, high availability IT environments a plus.
Technical/Functional Skills
- 2-5 years experience in developing software applications including: analysis, design, coding, testing, deploying and supporting of applications.
- Working Knowledge of open source web services (JAX-WS, JAX-RS) frameworks such as CXF/Axis
- Virtualization technologies, such as OpenStack, VMware, Virtual Box, etc.
- Proficient in API design/development, Web Services design/development (REST, SOAP, etc.)
- Expertise in one or more of the following programming languages (C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Grails, Apache, Perl, VXML, XML, etc.)
- Understanding of mobile Smartphone software stack from the OS to SDK application development tools (iPhone, Android development)
