DESCRIPTION
The Network Services/Support consultant will be responsible for technical support activities relating to the performance of IP service offerings.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify, monitor, analyze, sectionalize, and refer circuit impairments in support of IP services.
  • Communicating with the appropriate organization, implements a plan of resolution and possible alternative solutions directly with customers.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of circuit impairments by assessing data output from a multitude of support systems.
  • Recommend diagnostic tests and possible alternative network configurations based on degree of service impairment.
  • Negotiate with supporting centers, coordinate tests plans, communicate findings directly with customers.
  • Escalate to senior management as necessary in support of established DMOQ's.
  • Develop circuit design alternatives in instances of excessive, irresolvable impairments.
  • Act as sole customer liaison, managing a host of IP network issues not typically found in standard IP support model.
Qualifications:
  • 4-year degree (preferably in CS/EE/ISE) is desired.
  • 2-3 years experience in IP Technical Support, commanding a solid working knowledge of Router management and configuration, network engineering, and subnetting.
  • Must be available to be on call 24x7 in support of assigned account(s).
  • As such must also command and in-depth knowledge of both Provisioning and Lifecycle support processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of the customer's network, contacts, and business applications.
  • Prior experience interfacing directly with customers is a plus.
  • Must have expert knowledge of Router management and configuration.
  • Experience in IP Technical Support, DNS, IP routing protocol, T1.5, T45, Ocx, IBRs, and Frame Relay required.
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers and in CSU/DSU configurations required.
