Summary
Our client is seeking a talented VB.NET developer to own and enhance existing applications. This is a 6 month+ contract opportunity with a great in-town location! Autonomous workers who still enjoy interfacing with end users will thrive in this opportunity! Position also provides opportunity to enhance skills in additional Object Oriented Programming Languages.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and leads the development and maintenance of applications.
• Consults with customers to understand business problems and develops technical solutions.
• Provides technical expertise on applications, technical tools and software.
• Provides technical direction to customers and support staff.

Qualifications

• VB.NET 4.0 framework preferred
• ASP.NET/ASP
• Visual Studio 2010 preferred, 2008 okay
• AJAX preferred
• Relational Database experience (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle), Oracle a plus
• Any experience with Java or multiple OOP a plus
• Bachelor's Degree a must
• Excellent communication and ability to interface with internal customers a must
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary application development team and working within a structure system development life cycle
