Description
Our client is looking for a Sound Engineer for 6 months + extensions in Belgium.
You will be working as a Sound Engineer for one of our blue chip clients in Belgium where all the innovation takes place. As the world of technology evolves and being "connected" gains importance, our client is also looking more and more into connectivity.
As a part of the Electronics Department, you are responsible for verification of the hardware circuitry and verification of the correct implementation of the audio processing of the sound part of the TV.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Design follow up for the assigned audio part.
- Verification against specification of electrical circuits and the application of the available digital sound processing and CODEC functions in such a way that the optimum is reached in terms of sound performance.
- To evaluate prototypes on hardware level but also on a software driver and system performance level.
- Manage, solve and or follow up the technical problems.
- To optimize test and alignment instructions in co-operation with the process engineer.
- To obtain knowledge about and to process the production requirements.
You are motivated, team worker, communicative and passionate by product design and quality of sound. (Notions like DSP, class-D amplifiers, speaker technology, and sound system concepts do "sound" familiar to you.)
Other qualities should consist of:
- A masters of science in engineering or master of engineering.
- At least some years of experience in audio related hardware measurements like cross talk, bandwidth, audio filter responses, distortion
- Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (here related to audio) like filter types IIR, FIR, biquad is an advantage.
- Knowledge of MATLAB is a must.
- Knowledge of C# and python is an advantage.
- Fluent English (written and spoken). Knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
