IP Networking Engineer

Description

• Develop QOS profiles for Switch, Host and CE
• devices
• Develop tests and validation plans for network system
• Provision product network systems for IPv4 and IPv6 multicast
• Perform business analysis related to subscriber count over network topology
• Retrieve and manipulate data related to network usages, and capacity
• Communicate to a technical team about basic IP and routing
• Provision advanced routing in Juniper and Cisco telecom environment
• Create, QOS
• profiles and document policy around video signal support
• Troubleshoot connections with a packet Sniffer, either on the ATM or IP network

• Production experience with VDSL and ADSL setup and provision in the last 6 months to 1 year
• Individual
• self starter
• Hands on experience developing config files for Cisco and Juniper
• Demonstrate experience with Calix/Adtran DSLAM's, configuration QOS capabilities, and general DSL knowledge.
• Detailed hands on experience with PPPoA to PPPoE internetworking over ATM
• Experience with packet headers and frame types
• Field experience with CPE authentication methods, like RADIUS or DHCP Opt 82
• Experience creating tool sets to manipulate the extracted data
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN architectures and implementations, specifically TCP/IP/UDP & TLS
• Familiarity with LAN's in general, including their structure, security aspects, and components, IP routing and general network protocols, including RIP, OSPF, BGP, PIM, CRTP, NAT, IPSec, etc
