Global Finance Change Business Analyst
Programme aims to manage the overall Regulatory and Accounting Standards change over the next few years for Finance.
A Global Business Analyst responsibility:
- Gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements
- Documenting as-is business processes that are in scope
- Understanding functional requirements and working with business users to ensure all function requirements are captured and delivered on.
- Developing functional specifications and manage requirements through the project life cycle
- Documenting to-be business processes and procedures
- Delivering project work packages and provide timely work package updates
- Assisting with the creation of project management deliverables as required (such as terms of references, business case, project plans, status reports)
- Assisting with impact assessment and proposed changes to the current operating model
- Assisting with identifying and measuring project benefits
- Supporting related system development activities
- Working with test management function to define test scope and assist with the performance of testing
- Work with the project team to evaluate process impacts and issues
Key Skill Requirements
- A deep understanding of the full project life cycle from requirements through to implementation
- Ability to professionally and effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of management
- Demonstrable logical approach to problem solving. Ideally informed by understanding of process change methodology
- Accounting/financial reporting knowledge would be a benefit (specifically P&L, General Ledger and Group Finance functions)
- Process mapping skills
- Proven business requirements gathering and facilitation skills (eg running requirements workshops)
Educational Requirements
- Graduate from top university with good honours degree
- Some formal business analysis qualification desirable
- Accounting Qualification
Personal Skills Requirements
- Ability to work with little supervision
- Strong drive and inclination to stick to rigorous methodology and approach, balanced with a pragmatic and co-operative approach
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Required Work Experience
Experience of working as a project Business Analyst in a medium to large organisation, with proven experience in analysis, problem solving documentation and working to tight deadlines whilst achieving good quality outputs.
