DESCRIPTIONThe Engineer will determine a long-term strategy for a customer Firewall infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate plans and communication to employees on the use of IN and CH for new connectivity.
- Maintain diagrams.
- Enhance Juniper relationship and perform discovery on whether or not customer has the right level of support.
- Continue efforts to develop and deploy standard configure templates.
- Participate in testing new requirements in their lab environment.
Qualifications
- Juniper Netscreen knowledge - has to be Netscreen, not Juniper Routers/Switches, as the skill set is not the same.
- NSM knowledge - use of it to manage policies, preferably someone that has built an NSM server.
- Setup and tear down of VPNs - strong knowledge of VPN technologies across multiple vendor platforms.
- Troubleshooting skills using command line and GUI for Netscreen Firewall.
- Documentation skills - use of Lotus Notes teamrooms, MS Sharepoint.
- Customer interaction skills.
- Great people skills.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure.
