DESCRIPTION

The Clinical Systems Support Coordinator is responsible for daily support to users of an IMPACT, Study Tracking System and other clinical applications.

Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, reliable, high quality support to IMPACT users and to interact with relevant corporate units for support of IMPACT and other clinical applications.
  • Manage the activities and people associated with the project and the success of that project.
  • Work with user to identify the user's need.
  • Deliver quality systems solutions to business problems.
  • Develop conceptual level requirements in the analysis phase.
  • Support the production environment proactively through tracking management activities.
  • Provide supervision; develop group goals and objectives; monitor and control client production charges; develop and evaluate staffing plans; utilize formal SDLC to coordinate system development activities; provide project status reports; identify and define user needs; analyze project proposals; develop conceptual systems requirements; develop systems integration requirements; develop systems phasing plan; provide business application consultation; provide problem tracking/management; and prepare and deliver presentations.
  • Communicate information and know-how to end user community.
  • Provide first level support for suite of clinical applications supported by the department.
  • Enter the requests into the call tracking database and interact with the relevant specialist as necessary.
  • Participate in support team (Tasks: change/addition to suite of applications per SOPS, updates of reference data, enhancement recommendations)

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Information Services, or Computer Science preferred; four to six years consulting experience preferred.
  • Eight to twelve years experience, including at least two years professional consulting and two years in program/project management; formal training in SDLC methodologies.
  • Good analytical and problem solving ability, creativity, and insight.
  • Proven ability to motivate employees and create a positive working environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a strong political awareness.
  • Knowledge of suite of CSMS applications, including specific in-depth knowledge of IMPACT handling and related tools such as Cognos and IMPACT Monitoring Modules.
  • Need previous support of clinical applications.
  • Need to have experience solving problems.
