About the Company/Organisation:
The Wintel Architect participates in a wide range of design activities, from requirement's analysis through systems and or process design specification and is responsible for the development of detailed designs and integration of standard solutions and offerings.
Ideally this would suite a Senior Engineer, Architect, or Virtualisation Speciaist with 2-5 years detailed design experience, preferably coing from an Integrator. This position would suite someone who likes to oversee projects from end to end, work on large Enterprise projects, and engage with customers to align technology solutions to the business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Continually develop/maintain tecvhnical competency from an end-to-end architectural perspective. Aligns effort to meet the objectives of the client and the Solution Design competencyWork effectively with other team members (Solution Architects, Delivery groups) on tools, technology and methodology related to the design and development of IT solutions.
- Accountable for solution's output in terms of quality, timeliness and compliance with requirements as defined by the client.
- Identifies, estimates and presents technical solution components, cost, schedule, technical risk for solution elements, both in proposal effort and implementation planning.
- Detailed Design Documents
Required Skills:
- Extensive experience in designing, deploying, supporting and troubleshooting at least one of the flollowing technologies: Vmware, Windows , Active Directory, Group Policy, SMS/SCCM and Windows XP and Vista
- Experiences with virtualization technology including VMware and Citrix
- Demonstrated experience in Active Directory enterprise-wide deployments and migrations at technical design level
- Experience with MS SQL - preferred
- ITIL Knowledge and experience
- Excellent Communication skills - both written and verbal
