Description
Looking for a VMWare consultant for a 6 month- to a year contract role (possible contract-hire) Keys to this role are: Thin App, VDI (Virtual Desk Top Integration). You will be designing new systems and enhancements, researches and implements upgrades in support of business requirements. You will act as the expert technical resource for high level technical and business problems; applies diverse technical expertise to identify, troubleshoot and determine resolution to complex systems issues.
Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
3 years experience developing and supporting IT Infrastructure.
Experience with Linux system administration functions (ie, system internals and tools).
Knowledge of Virtualization technologies such as VMWare, VDI and Xen.
2 years of experience in mediating IT support issues in a corporate environment.
2 years experience Scripting with programming languages, such as Perl and Java.
Knowledge of SLES operating systems.
2 years experience with Windows administration (client and server).
Knowledge of blade Servers and storage solutions.
4 years experience in information technology (corporate environment or as consultant).
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years experience in designing and implementing solutions for distributed computing environments within a fortune 500 company.
Knowledge with data center and networking technologies.
Bachelor's degree.
