CAD Operator job #2694 -- Akron/Canton, OhioLocal Northeast manufacturer is seeking an experienced CAD Operator to fill a Contract to possible Permanent position.
Responsibilities:
• Produce AutoCAD drawings from architectural working drawings.
• Comprehend & utilize information in structural working & shop drawings.
• Prepare 2-D shop drawing plans, elevations, sections & details.
• Prepare fabrication (part) drawings from shop drawings.
• Plan & organize part drawings.
• Produce cut lists and packing lists.
• Produce unit drawings & tag drawings.
• Use plotting device to print drawings.
• Use MS Excel spreadsheet to enter & manipulate data.
Required Skills:
? Must be proficient with AutoCAD Lite 2007 or 2009
? Must have some relative drafting experience such as: Architectural, Structural or Standard & or Custom Aluminum or Steel Structures, Construction Drawings, Custom/Cabinetry Drawings & Metal Fabrication Drawings.
? Must desire to work in the curtain wall industry, good can do attitude, able to work as part of a team and get along with associates, pay attention to all details, willing to go over and beyond normal duties to complete thorough & accurate drawings.
? Able to work on multiple projects as demanded by project dead line dates.
? MS Office -- Word, Excel & Outlook or Outlook Express
? A passion to learn a new industry and grow with this manufacturer.
? Able to utilize the telephone in a polite & professional manner.
? Able to use the copy machine
? Comprehend & Utilize this companies drafting standards.
Desired Skills:
? 3-D Wire-Frame drawing experience
? Experience doing drawings for fabrication
? Prior experience in the Curtain Wall industry is a big plus.
? Perform mathematics operations including geometry, trigonometry preferred.
