My client is looking for a ScrumMaster, with experience of running agile teams on large scale web projects with a comprehensive understanding of Scrum Project management experience.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in the biggest and highest profileBBC project of 2012 contributing to the delivery of services providing event coverage and a customised BBC London 2012 Olympic experience. The project aims
to deliver a world class experience for the biggest sporting event we’re likely to see in the UK in our lifetime. The Scrum Master is responsible for delivery of software projects and services, as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Working as part of the Dynamic Semantic Publishing (DSP) team for the 2012 “Digital” platform, you will be responsible for project managing the Event Data and Stats workstream. The BBC London 2012 project is ambitious in scale and development needs to take place against tight deadlines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate with Product Managers and software delivery teams, to deliver high quality products and services to licence fee payers. Provide the day-to-day facilitation and management of delivery teams within the tech team. Manage and motivate multi-disciplinary teams Understand and correctly translate product requirements and priorities into smaller deliverables, features and user stories, providing delivery management and quality assurance of software projects Coordinate across project teams, within News & Knowledge or across the BBC or its partners and
suppliers, to manage dependencies across complex projects and product suites. Regularly track and communicate project status and progress to project stakeholders as required. Support the implementation and culture of Scrum software delivery methodology.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 3 years’ project management experience in a software delivery environment, delivering bespoke, full lifecycle software projects. Competence with standard project management techniques and software. Experience of delivering projects using Agile development techniques, including Agile estimating and planning. A good understanding of the benefits of using these techniques and the ability to articulate these benefits clearly. Scrum Master training, or a comprehensive understanding of Scrum. Broad technical knowledge of application architecture, system architecture, relational databases, Object Oriented languages and web technologies. Demonstrable experience of resource estimating and planning and managing budgets within projects (projects of at least 3-6 months duration, with budgets of £k). Experience of leading multi-disciplinary delivery teams of between 4-10 people.
Understanding the new media industry and the competitive forces facing the BBC.

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE: A strong interest in digital products and content output especially mobile web and applications. MSP Certification or equivalent experience.

novel ways and come up with creative solutions.
