A major Global Insurance company is looking for a Scrum Master. The Scrum Master will join a major Claims System Replacement programme in a significant role in which they will be required to successfully facilitate the delivery the programme. The role holder will manage their business and IT resource effectively in a fast paced, challenging environment and work collaboratively with peers to ensure an integrated delivery for the overall programme.

Key Responsibilities
*Manage the full life cycle of an individual software development and implementation track, ensuring quality of delivery against key milestones and targets.
*Introduce and facilitate the agile development methodologies within allocated track.
*Effectively lead and enthuse team resources in a sell not tell style (manipulate to achieve objectives)
*Estimate and track project effort, taking effective control actions where appropriate
*Identify, track and manage project risks and issues including the development and delivery of mitigation and contingency plans
*Stakeholder identification and relationship management to facilitate removal of project roadblocks
*Act as an 'enabler' in support of team members achieving their specific objectives
*Focus efforts on people and issue management in addition to the traditional plan focus
*Ensure the sprint deliveries are undertaken in line with business and cultural objectives and not just to the plan.
*Create a culture where focus on the individual and detailed elements of the delivery plan day by day is achieved in addition to ensuring the realisation of overall goals
*Influence and negotiate with business areas in relation to the project priority status and requirements needed to establish success.
*Manage the resources to ensure delivery against each sprint targets (make sure the development team is protected from outside forces, that organisation rules and policy is upheld with the project)
*Manage in line with the Companies project quality standards, reporting and management of KPIs
*Champion objectives as agreed in project plans and/or by the Programme Manager
*Develop self in order to maximise personal contribution to the job.
*Focus on costs, process improvements and/or efficiency to contribute to the profitability.
*Be aware of and comply on an ongoing basis with the rules, requirements and principles of the Financial Services Authority, (FSA) and any other legal/regulatory/risk management framework..
*Ensure adherence to regulatory, compliance and audit requirements

Required Experience
*General Insurance Claims Systems
*Management of teams, plans and costs on large scale projects
*Agile development methodologies
*Package configuration and implementation
*Detailed claims operations and management
*Process design and workflow
*Specific experience relating to the track to be managed is desirable (ie Home/Motor/Claims Administration/Output Management)
*Will be internally recognised as an expert practitioner in project and client management with a minimum of 5 to 7 years experience within the context of extensive business experience, having a good business knowledge and overall exposure.
*Proven track record in managing and delivering large, key strategic projects
*Proven track record of managing, leading and motivating diverse and multi functional project teams
*Experience in structured complex project management (RAD/Agile )
*Display strong team leadership qualities
*Excellent relationship management (Internal/Client/Third party/Sponsor and Stakeholder)
*Proven Man-management (Matrix/Direct/Indirect line Management)
*Exposure to business systems analysis and process re-engineering
*Experience in project quality assurance control
*Confident technology user, including complex excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Project etc.

General Insurance and Claims System experienced is required for this role.
