Description

We are looking for experienced staff for commissioning and pre-commissioning activities of refrigerated ammonia storage and export facilities. The job is positioned under the commissioning manager. The customer's later operating team is assisting in the commissioning activities. Staff from vendor specialists will support the pre-commissioning & commissioning phase.

Time frame: From mid of November 2011 for about 6 months

Location: Algeria

Activities:

  • Pre-commissioning & commissioning activities
  • Check the correct installation of the process plant (mechanical completion)
  • Flushing and blowing out of piping and equipment
  • Support and supervision of subcontractor staff
  • Test run of the machinery (pumps, screw compressor) and package units
  • Preparation of procedures and planning work for the above activities
  • Review of the process control system (DCS) and the safety devices
  • Commissioning of the plant together with the shift leader of the customer and the licensor's advisory personnel
  • Participation in planning and execution of on-site modifications, if necessary
  • Involvement in data acquisition during operation
  • Work in the performance guarantee test
  • Support of the project team for documentation of the as-built status of the plant

Requirements:

  • Experience in pre-commissioning & commissioning of refrigerated storages for liquefied gases - preferably ammonia - is a must
  • General experience in the abovementioned activities (min. 10 years)
  • Preferably experience in the operation of offsites & utilities plants within fertiliser plants or chemical plants processing mainly liquid media, or ammonia facilities
  • Used to work independently
