Hello, our client in San Jose is looking for a QA engineer for Robotics testing. This is an 8 month contract, and an immediate need. We have direct hiring manager contact.

Title: Automation Development Contractor - Software
Duties/Requirements
Software development of automation systems with focus on motion and calibration
Work on a cross-functional team to design, develop and verify software in Windows based automated test systems.
Create, document, test, and implement software designs in a sophisticated robotic system
Support definition, bring-up, and integration of new test system hardware
Required Skills:
BS/MS in Software or Computer Engineering
Experience with real-time, multi-tasking operating systems
Strong Knowledge of C#, C++ or Java programming languages
Hands-on engineering experience & ability to work well in a team environment
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Additional skill set is a plus:
Experience with motion control systems such as Galil, Epson or other Scara systems
Knowledge of TCL Scripting language
Knowledge of TCP/IP and USB communication protocols
Familiarity with vision systems such as Matrox MIL
Strong ability to isolate and debug hardware and software problems
Some international travel required in Q1 and Q2 of 2012
