One of the ACT's most established government departments is looking to appoint an experienced ICT Program Manager for an initial 6 month contract starting ASAP. Reporting to the CIO, you will be responsible for establishing and managing a Project Management Office (PMO) in its ICT Division.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Establish the PMO function including recruitment of PMO administrative staff and project managers.
• Develop PMO processes including project templates in alignment with a project methodology.
• Drive the creation and manage the execution of project management plans and schedules and develop strategies to manage multiple projects across a program.
• Develop metrics to measure project/program effectiveness and manage expectations through the preparation of program reports for the executive with an emphasis on risk and finances.

The successful candidate will need to meet the following criteria;

• Proven track record in the development of PMO processes
• High level of knowledge of program/project management methodologies
• Proven track record in the ongoing management of a large PMO supporting large business change programs.
• Strong written and oral communication, negotiation and liaison skills with a proven ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external
