Experis, a world leader in the workforce solutions has an immediate need for a QA Analyst for our corporate client located in Alpharetta, GA. This is a 3 month contract-to-hire opportunity.
The QA Analyst will work with the project team to create test scripts and cases for software development initiatives. The candidate will participate in requirement/design/code reviews, develop test plans, execute tests, track defects, identify risks, and communicate status to ensure application meets specified business requirements.
Position Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in structured QA practices
- Expert knowledge and skills in developing test plans and test cases
- Must have experience with MS SQL Server and SQL
- Must be able to write and execute SQL statements to query a database for data validation
- Must have basic knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Active Directory
- Must have strong analytical skills and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with TFS and Test Manager
- Experience with QTP
- In depth knowledge and thorough understanding of testing methodologies and best practices
- Skilled in risk assessment and impact analysis for software applications
- Ability to understand complex technical environments quickly
- Detail-oriented, self-starter with excellent teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in Agile environments a plus
- Experience with Financial Applications a plus
- Bachelors degree in IT or a related field or equivalent experience
