Hours of position: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Experience Requirements:
5 years demonstrated experience performing detailed accounting functions
including account reconciliation and preparation of journal entries.
2 - 4 years experience general application of financial analysis concepts and
principals.
Scope of project: Need resource to assist with year end close which includes
recharges and accruals for several functional areas and cost centers. Also
need this person to assist with year end reporting and assist with various ad
hoc projects.
Top 3 Skills needed to succeed in the position:
1. Proficient in Powerpoint and Excel including advanced functions such as
pivot tables, v-look up and macros.
2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Top 5 daily responsibilities:
Reconcile general ledger to internal tracking
Follow-up with clients to obtain approval for various recharges and/or
accruals
Investigate and resolve issues and complete special projects as needed.
Prepare more complex financial trend and data analysis reports
Assist with other ad hoc projects
Education Requirements: 4 year degree in related field
Uses professional accounting concepts and internal company policies to solve
complex accounting issues including the maintenance of internal controls.
Participates in and implements monthly financial close, supervises the
assignments of the staff accountants to include general ledger, accounts
payable and fixed assets. Prepares monthly management financial reporting
package and executive summary schedules. Coordinates and facilitates the
process of documenting accounting policies and procedures.
Experience Level:
BA in Accounting or Finance plus minimum 6+ years of direct relevant
experience.
Responsible for month-end and year end close activities including preparing
accrual and recharge journal entries. Ensure generally accepted accounting
principles and KP policies are followed.
Prepare financial analyses including monthly actual vs. budget and actual vs.
forecast variances, explain financial results to cost center managers
regarding their departments’ FTE and spending trend, forecast accuracy and
make recommendations.
Assist with other ad hoc requests as needed.
