Our Financial Services client is seeking a Strategic Analyst within their Wholesale Banking Division.

Purpose of role:
Reinforce the vision of customer centricity through performance management & analysis, and enable understanding of delivery of strategic priorities.

Accountabilities:
- Support the launch and evolution of a new Performance Management function; including establishing its vision, short and medium term goals and influencing senior business stakeholders in the prioritisation of delivery
- Support CEO in understanding performance across the business, including all product, coverage and support teams and responding to ad hoc Group Executive Committee requests
- Delivery of specific reporting output to understand over and under performance
- Influencing the performance management framework developed for individual business units. Developing robust and transparent framework for the management of KPIs and their cascade into scorecard reporting for every business unit
- Work alongside the Group and Strategy, Planning and Insight teams to ensure that appropriate metrics and reporting are developed for the business to monitor and deliver against strategic objectives; and enable benchmarking of performance against external factors such as Market, Client and Peer activity
- Work closely with Group functions such as Finance, Risk, HR and Technology to influence the broader development of appropriate business performance

A proven track record in:
Operating and influencing stakeholders across all levels of seniority (evidenced by being sought out by the business as a credible thought partner).
The execution of MI and BSC projects in a capital markets/wholesale banking environment
Collaborative working, building strong relationships with key support areas (eg Risk, Finance, and HR).

Key Capabilities/Knowledge:
A highly developed understanding of wholesale banking and markets
Expert understanding of core products and capabilities.
Broad knowledge of current best practice, competitor behaviour (where relevant) and relevant legal, regulatory and statutory requirements..
Excellent communication skills with a talent for turning complex management information into brief, relevant and engaging formats.
A clear style of communication with an ability to support, lead and develop initiatives in an engaging way
Expertise in writing, proofing and editing material and presenting proposals and plans to senior/board level executives.
Strong analytical and quantitative mind with solid financial modelling experience
Self-starter able to execute projects independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills who is comfortable working in fast-paced consulting style unstructured environments
Experience of effectively motivating and managing a team to deliver both specific project objectives and overall performance to the expected standard.
