Description
Our client is a leader in its industry and they are looking for a Resource Manager for a 24 month contract. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end resource management of the organisation's technology department. It is a newly created role and will see you manage a team of 2-3 people and ensure that all programs of work are equipped with people with the right skills at the right time.In this role, you will:
Facilitate the forecast of future resourcing needs
Work closely with the Hiring Managers to facilitate future resource planning and tracking
Develop, implement and maintain the resource model
Manage the database of resources
Manage the fulfilment of recruitment needs
You will have a proven ability to establish and implement strategies, services, processes and tools to enhance the resource management function and improve its capability over time. You will have well developed consultation, influential and negotiation skills, and are comfortable talking to and building relationships with Managers at all levels within an organisation. You will also have experience managing and supervising staff through effective coaching and leadership. It would be advantageous if you come from an IT or Project environment, and have had exposure to Project Management methodology, ideally Prince2.
