Our client in Jacksonville, FL is currently seeking a QA Tester/Analyst for a 6 month contract opening.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for developing and executing test cases/scripts to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Involved in test planning, writing test cases/scripts, creating reusable test data, test case automation, and test execution. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status. Collects and analyzes data for software process evaluation and improvements, and integrates them into business processes to address the business needs. Documents all problems and assist in their resolution. Participates in the delivery of quality process training to technical staff. Participates in quality audits across the various IT functions to ensure quality standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed.

WORK EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES
- 5 or more years of systems development, testing and/or business experience.
- Has experience using query languages (eg, SQL) to view data to verify test results and ensure that appropriate data conditions exist.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Create and document test scenarios that emulate real-world business environments and operations in a controlled test environment
Write and execute manual system and certification test cases using documented functional and non-functional requirements.
Conduct manual system testing, defect reporting, replication, and retesting
Review and provide feedback on new/enhanced Software Business Requirements and High Level Designs.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and balance priorities from multiple projects and release schedules.
Ability to work some weekends without conflicts.
Ability to work independently, with the Project Managers, Developers, Business Analysts and Customer support, in a fast paced environment.
Strong team player.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Knowledge of software development life cycle working with Software Developers and Product Analysts
Strong knowledge and familiarity with technical systems - eg programming, operating system, database, design, platforms, etc. Must be able to take input from various technical, product, and business sources and assimilate it into a comprehensive end-to-end test plan.
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint).
Excellent problem solving skills
Must possess a proven ability to complete detailed assignments accurately in a timely fashion.
General understanding of and experience with Information Technology Concepts
Strong interpersonal skills are required, as the successful candidate will interface with a wide range of personnel, and must possess the capacity to solve problems, resolve conflicts, and build relationships.
Must have demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication.
Analytical skills to evaluate information gathered
Mortgage Default industry experience is a plus.
Passion for problem identification and resolution, and a desire to improve customer's experience.

EDUCATION GUIDELINES
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related discipline. Or equivalent work experience.
- CSTE certification a plus

BREADTH
Intermediate professional level role. Works on projects of moderate to high complexity within one or more development environments. Works on multiple programs/systems as a project team member. Considered a subject matter expert for single program system. May coach more junior technical staff.
