Infrastructure Support Specialist (BAU) VMware, SQL, Firewall, Net BackWe are seeking a Infrastructure Support Engineer for an initial 2 weeks to work in Kent.
This opening is for the Windows Server and infrastructure Support specialist to work in the Infrastructure team. We are responsible for supporting and ensuring the stability of the organisations networking, server and storage infrastructure across 2 office locations. We provide systems management and support on hardware, networking, Windows server, VMware, storage and infrastructure supporting software. The role involves close cooperation with the Service Desk, IT Security, Engineering, application programmers and third party vendors by handling escalations, providing documentation, and implementing new products
Essential Skills/Experience:
Solid Windows server and infrastructure support specialist
Strong knowledge in support and troubleshooting of the Windows operating system and supporting infrastructure:
Windows Server , Terminal Services, Active Directory, SQLServer
Networking (Cisco LAN, WAN, Callmanager VoIP) TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
Firewalls (Checkpoint, Juniper, SSL VPN)
VMWare ESX and vSphere
HP EVA, MSA2000, Hitachi AMS, Falconstor NSS Enterprise SAN solutions
Symantec Netbackup and VMware integration
Microsoft Exchange server 2010
Proficiency in creating documentation for support personnel
Strong verbal and written communication skill
Self-starter with experience working in a project team environment
Skills Desired:
Experience working in a financial environment
Enterprise management experience with System Center Control Manager (SCCM & SCOM)
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE)
VMware Certification (VCP)
