Description
An engineer is required to assist in the coordination and integration of a broad range of stakeholder requirements in the formulation, development and communication of the ISTAR Concepts & Solution programme. All areas of ISTAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition, and Reconnaissance) Systems across the Direct, Collect, Process, and Disseminate (DCPD) Intelligence cycle will be addressed together with implications for the MOD Unified Customer across all the Defence Lines of Development.
The position requires an good technical generalist with a knowledge of the Military, ISTAR systems and the UK supply base and experience of stakeholder management, briefing and technical report writing.
The contractor will work closely with the ISTAR Concepts and Solutions leader within Sensors & Countermeasures Department at the clients office to help to communicate with researchers, stakeholders and customers to elucidate requirements, assist in the development of programme strategy and help coordinate briefing across a collection of research projects within a coherent programme.
Main outputs from this task will be a coherent stakeholder engagement strategy, production of written reports and briefing material, support to the coordination and leadership of this significant pan-organisation programme to identify, tailor and present benefits across a wide range of stakeholders. Plus the leadership and delivery of the ICS portfolio to capture the ISTAR concepts and solutions developed by the project team.
Essential Criteria
- Security clearance - SC.
- Knowledge of MOD and its suppliers
- Experience of stakeholder management and briefing Able to work with minmal supervision and in close association with the military and technical staffs
- A track record of delivery
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in working with the UK military
- Understanding of ISTAR DCPD process
- Understanding of the DLODS
You will be required to hold a minimum of SC security clearance. If you do not hold an active SC clearance please familiarise yourself with the vetting process before applying.
