Sensor and Signal Processing Technologist required for a long term contract role that runs until 31st march 2013! - call Rich to discuss.
As a sensor and signal processing technologist you will be assisting in the coordination of the technical concepts programme under ISTAR Concepts and Solutions (ICS) project.
Rates for this role come in at around £200 per day depending on experience. You will be required to hold a minimum of SC security clearance, if you do not then please familiarise yourself with the vetting process before applying.
The position requires a good technical generalist in the area of sensor and signal processing research with knowledge of Radar, Electro-optic and other sensor systems and experience of Horizon Scanning, technical coordination and engagement with external research suppliers. The contractor will work closely with members of the ISTAR Concepts and Solutions Team within Sensors & Countermeasures Department to communicate on a technical level with researchers, stakeholders and customers to elucidate requirements, develop concepts and help coordinate a collection of research projects into a coherent programme. Customer engagement and project strategy will be provided by existing members of the ICS Team. Completion of this work will include a contribution to written reports detailing the ISTAR technical concepts developed under this programme.
Required
- Security clearance - SC
- Good technical generalist in the area of sensor and signal processing research
- Able to work with minimal supervision and in close association with the industry prime contractor and external research suppliers.
- Technical coordination of external research suppliers
- A track record of delivery
Desirable
- Understanding of ISTAR DCPD process
- knowledge of Radar, Electro-optic and other sensor systems
- Experience of Horizon Scanning
