They have built a strong and significant reputation as a client focused ICT Solutions company based on a broad spectrum of competencies serving the 'end to end' business IT needs of large to medium Government, Corporate, Educational and Institutional enterprises. You will be joining one of the most respected and fastest growing IT systems integrators in the country. They currently employ in excess of 700 permanent staff nationally. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills for this client facing role, coupled with the latest industry certifications if possible. The purpose of this role is to ensure customers receive expert technical support services that includes; pre-sales, design, implementation, support and resolution to complex problems in relation to security and Internet systems. Technically, we're looking for a mix of the following technologies within the security role: Cisco PIX/ASA Cisco security technologies such as Cisco Clean Access and NAC. Checkpoint Firewalls and related security products/technologies. RSA F5 Trend Micro Operating System Security (Unix, Linux, Sun, Microsoft)
Other security technologies and products across an enterprise scale
We would also expect the successful applicant to be Cisco certified (CCIE preferred but not a prerequisite)
Coupled with:
Strong knowledge of network operating systems (Unix and Windows) and stateful inspection Firewalls. Strong background with IP Networking and routing. Expertise in fault finding and problem diagnosis for Internet security systems. Technical expertise in the design, implementation and support of systems applied to large and small networks. General understanding of hardware technologies. Exposure to and interest in Cisco switch and routing technologies
More specifically the role will require:
1. Skills and experience in detailed design, configuration and implementation on infrastructure security projects - Firewall, IDP, VPNs, basic networking
2. Technical skills in specified security vendor technology platforms - you need to be current for at least a couple of platforms (platforms include Juniper, Cisco, Checkpoint, Websense, RSA)
3. The role is hands-on doing actual customer projects using the above skills,you must have recent hands-on customer facing experience
4. Strong communication skills (interpersonal, written, oral)
5. Experience with Information security solutions and VA, Pen Testing would be an advantage
