DESCRIPTION:
Our client requires the services of a CAD AVL Technical Specialist, to provide deliverables including, but not limited to, the following:
Work on CAD/AVL Project (Computer Aided Dispatch/Automatic Vehicle Location)
Work with CAD/AVL project team and vendor during design and implementation phases.
Provide recommendations for functional specifications and application configurations
Control Console Design and implementation
Work with vendor and Metrolinx technical teams to provide solutions architecture for project
Develop testing strategies with business and Application Development for project
Develop migration plan from existing AVL to new CAD/AVL system
Documentation - create Build Books and Run Books.
Knowledge transfer to internal subject matter experts and internal technical resources.
Mandatory Project Experience:
The individual must have minimum (6) years planning and integration experience with CAD/AVL systems
Good knowledge of business processes related to Bus and Rail Operations as it relates to a CAD/AVL systems
Ability to prepare functional specifications for interfacing CAD/AVL with other systems
Good technical understanding of integration principles and techniques for data centre and vehicle technology
