Our Client is recruiting for a Practice Nurse to work as part of a multi disciplinary primary healthcare team delivering general medical services and elements of occupational health. The successful applicant will need to be capable of developing programmes of care and the ability to perform audits and conduct searches and to work unsupervised in providing nursing and pre hospital emergency care to the medical centre population.Qualification minimal and experience:
Essential
Must be registered with the NMC and hold a valid PIN.
One year?s previous experience at Band 6.
Minimum of one to two years post registration experience in Primary Health Care practice.
Experienced and competent in Immunisation, Venepuncture, Audiology.
Patient Group Directive (PGDs) in a related Community Health discipline or portfolio evidence of equivalent experience.
Desirable
Experience in relevant areas, e.g. Occupational Health Nursing (OHN), clinical supervision, Supporting Learning and Assessment in Practice (or equivalent), Travel Medicine, Cervical Cytology, Asthma Diploma, Chronic Disease management - diabetes and asthma, etc.
Competence in audiometry, smoking cessation, ear syringing and vaccination.
