Description
Cost Reduction Engineer required for a contract role in Derbyshire to Deliver strategies to reduce the in service cost of fleet engines
The work ranges from delivering the standardisation of modification packages to improve engine performance, to developing validation strategies for current and future engine variants. Other investigation work & testing may also be required in support of the engine programmes. The Development team is accountable for the verification of each modification to ensure that the Standardisation documentation satisfies the customer & business demands while complying fully with the Regulatory Requirements. The tasks will cover the full range of engine components & systems.
Key skills/experience required:
- Good mechanical engineering understanding
- Pro-active approach to progress tasks with minimal supervision
- Ability to work with a wide range of technical specialists to meet challenging timescales
- Ability to communicate effectively with the client
Desirable skills/experience:
- Familiarity/understanding of Gas Turbine architecture
