Description

Primarily responsible for supporting the Billing Manager with the allocation and distribution of costs to the primary internal customer groups in Global Banking & Markets. Dealing with billing requirements that have not been off-shored and supporting the billing manager in developing new approached as the department continues to expand.

Specific tasks include:
* Assist in the process of information gathering and liaison amongst stakeholder groups to assess and validate data requirements for the annual rate setting process
* Provide support and assistance in overseeing the system outputs from the current monthly billing process
* Ensure that usage billing data is integrated and complementary to both the monthly MI and Financial reporting processes
* Ensure recoveries reconcile to regional GLs.
* Provide input and assistance in explaining the monthly over/under recovery position
* Work with global functional heads to increase understanding of their departmental recovery position - provide assistance in analysing, understanding and explaining the key activity and capacity drivers of the recoveries.
* Assist in the evaluation and billing impact analysis of any business changes to services provided, especially as the program continues to expand
* Support the Billing Manager in defining an approach to automate and enhance existing systems and processes to ensure usage billing is analysed and reported in a consistent and standard way.
* Global experience in the financial services industry, ideally working with an offshore support function
* Preferably with experience of an internal shared services, activity based analysis/costing or usage billing
* Qualified accountant with 2-3 years of working in a management accounting role
* Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate concepts, and succinctly interpret and draw conclusions from data analysed.
* Able to deal with unstructured problems, seek solutions and willing to question and challenge the status quo.
* Self motivated, pro-active and able to work effectively as part of a team, taking a leadership role when needed
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
* Good spreadsheet skills
