Description
An experienced IT Security Manager required for an exciting contract position based in Sydney working for a highly regarded organisation. This role will see you managing security related risks to acceptable and agreed levels, and provide leadership for good security practice across the organisation's ICT functions and business information security practices. As IT Security Manager you will have a solid understanding of security methodology and hold the Industry accreditation (CISM/CISA or CISSP working towards CISM) along with solid IT security line management and Project Management experience.
To be successful in this IT Security Manager role you will hold tertiary qualifications in an ICT discipline or Business discipline and the following experience:
Extensive experience in IT Security design, delivery and IT Security management
Strong understanding across applications and infrastructure (Linux/Unix, Windows, Networks
Vendor Management
Strong appreciation of project management principles
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a non technical audience
Experienced in multi-sourced environment's
Experienced in Managing complex projects
Previous experience working in large/distributed IT environments
Strong understanding of all Cobit control objectives directly related to IT Security
In depth understanding of ITIL (Formal accreditation desirable)
Proven experience of managing multi disciplinary teams
Extensive experience and strong understanding of the Higher Education sector
Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Experience of working to deadlines in a fast paced environment
Leadership and management qualities
