Position Description:
The ideal candidate will have experience in delivering large scale interactive projects from start to completion, assuming responsibility for customer satisfaction and day-to-day management of all projects. These responsibilities include managing, monitoring, and maintaining the project scope, task timeline, operating budget, coordinating with technical teams, and overall quality of the resulting deliverable.

Qualifications:
At least five years project leadership/management experience with demonstrated success in delivering quality projects on time and at or under budget.
- Experience with implementing large-scale web sites and/or large-scale transaction processing systems
- Experience with solutions that are custom, purchased, and hybrids of both
- Experience in all phases of the software life cycle
- Experience with structured systems development methodologies, project management
methodologies, and project financial analysis
- Advanced project management skills (develop project charter and scope, allocate resources, track progress, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and set or negotiate priorities
- Advanced problem solving and analytical skills; ability to "think out of the box" and develop creative solutions
- Demonstrated team leadership and delegation skills
- Demonstrated proactive customer service skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentation skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage in a matrixed environment

DUTIES:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for coordinating multiple projects across multiple groups, maintaining a transparent view of assigned initiatives.
- Prepares project plans, including statements of work, and task timelines
- Monitors and maintains project scope, including facilitating requirements prioritization, controlling change to scope, and communicating status of scope to all team members
- Manages project communication, including preparing the communication plan, conducting key project meetings and distributing written updates regularly
- Ensures that client expectations are managed, in partnership with product managers and technical managers
- Prepares project budget, tracks actual expenditures against it, and reports on project financial status regularly
- Responsible for issue reporting, escalation and resolution
- Performs continual risk identification, assessment, communication and mitigation
- Articulates clear direction for team activity
- Maintains the proper level of coordination across all initiatives
- Maintains information about projects in Clarity portfolio management system
- Assists management with special assignments, such as evaluating vendors, gathering/evaluating consultant proposals, process improvement initiatives, or other responsibilities as requested.
