Position Description:

  • Develop web pages, JavaScript, and templates to be used by Web Developers for incorporating into CMS by the NCAA group of Turner Digital Media Technologies.
  • Follows tasks through a development life cycle (coding, testing, debugging, documenting, peer-reviewing, deploying, monitoring, and support) in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal pro
  • cedures and standards.
  • Contributes to task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities.
  • Participates in the analysis, definition, and scoping of efficient, cost effective application solutions.
  • Works with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for the successful completion of development and maintenance assignments (eg business development, database development, web designers, end-user training).

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • 5 years experience developing Web sites for business purposes.
  • Thorough understanding of the web and web browsers, their capabilities and their limitations.
  • Thorough knowledge of HTML, DOM, Doctypes, CSS, JavaScript (both in general and with libraries such as jQuery, Dojo and Prototype), PHP.
  • Experience in Unix command line strongly desired.
  • Strong skills required in critical thinking and analysis.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to details is a must.
  • Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:

  • Development experience with content management systems (specifically Drupal), content automation and source control a plus.
  • Experience working in high-profile, high-volume web publishing environments is a strong plus.
