My client is one of the largest and most widely respected pharmaceutical companies in the world who employs over 3,500 people across 8 sites in the UK.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in a cross divisional finance shared service centre for a financial accountant based at their head office in surrey. The shared services team supports the financial, reporting and accounting activities in 3 key business units in the UK, Ireland and Nordic countries. Revenue's of the combined business supported amount to $0.7bn.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead Financial Process for assigned reporting units by optimizing systems and people resources across all UK and Nordic Business Units.
* Provide Accounting Services to assigned reporting units via a pportfolio of accounting tasks - General ledger accounting, fixed assets, accruals, reconciliations etc.
* Ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial reports for assigned Reporting Units within the Region.
* Ensure Reporting assigned reporting units are in compliance to Internal Control standards and SOX 404 compliance.
SKILLS REQUIRED
* Relevant experience within a financial accounting role.
* Good knowledge of ERP accounting package.
* Knowledge and practice of IFRS.
* University degree.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience from a LEADING player in the pharmaceutical market. Although this is an initial 6 month contract their is potential for the role to be extended. They are offering a very competitive basic salary of between £35K - £45K (Pro Rata).
