*Senior Accountant*

A large financial services client based in London is looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join them ASAP for 6 months initially

The successful candidate will be required to support and assist the Finance and Senior Finance Managers and to take responsibility for:
+ Consolidation and production of required reporting to Group and Regional stakeholders for internal and external reporting cycles in accordance with Group timetables.
+ Work closely with the rest of CRS to provide support and assistance to enable CRS to deliver the required reporting in accordance with the Service Management Framework. This includes supporting and when necessary deputising for the Finance Manager.
+ Contribute to continuous process improvement and best practice ideas to support SOX/FRCF, increase quality of deliverables and ensure cross cycle consistency.
+ Work closely with regional and group stakeholders to build relationships, manage changing requirements in order to be seen as a trusted partner.
+ Managing the design and maintenance of a consistent set of reports with a focus on ongoing design improvement in line with stakeholder expectations.
+ Assisting in making a key priority, aspiration and emphasis of the team - "right first time, delivery on time". Continual reductions in the number of post submission adjustments and the number of reports required in a cycle are critical success factors.
+ Embed up-to-date adequate documentation of tasks and processes for the entire consolidation and reporting process.
+ Contributing to establishment and maintenance of industrial strength controls which meet both internal and external policies and standards, increasing quality of deliverables and ensuring cross cycle consistency
+ Involved in finance initiatives/projects providing both BAU expertise and implementation support.
+ Specify and participate in the ongoing development of Magnitude and Business Objects as a prime user. This will involve inputting to changes in data model, system functionality and user acceptance testing as well as working with regional and group stakeholders to develop self-service capabilities.
