Portfolio Programme Support Analyst - Edinburgh

A leading Retail Bank requires a Portfolio support analyst to join their Edinburgh based team.

Key activities will include:
Creation of key documents and reports, eg PIB/other governance related papers for the portfolio. Engaging with project delivery teams to ensure compliance with Portfolio and RTP reporting. Providing support to Project Managers with the day-to-day running of project admin tasks.

 Ensuring each project is complying with RTP guidelines as defined by the Central PMO, specifically in: Ensuring Risks and Issues are recorded and up-to-date and are being managed. Managing Change Requests from the Portfolio. Supporting Project Benefits Management activities and KPI tracking. Supporting the Portfolio Programme Support Manager in delegated tasks, as required. Deputising for the Portfolio Programme Support Manager, if requested.
 Proactively supporting Portfolio Project Managers and teams in meeting key RTP governance requirements (initiating engagement with individuals and teams where required to actively drive compliance and provide support). Workshop facilitation, specifically Project Initiation Workshops. Financial and budgetary management and tracking via ibuy and the STAR system. Lower level BAU administration as required.

To be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate the following skills

  • Proven experience of supporting medium sized projects and programmes (£1 - £10m).
  • Good working understanding of the Retail Banking Industry.
  • Demonstrable Programme Management experience covering, risks, issues, dependencies, status reporting, milestone tracking, interpreting plans, managing change requests, facilitating workshops.
  • Experience of managing multiple stakeholders including business, technology, property.
  • Experience of understanding and tracking project performance through Key Performance metrics.
  • Experience of financial management, budget control, reporting and tracking
  • Experience of working in a hands on' team, the ability to work at all levels from liaising with Senior stakeholders,
  • to  lower level tasks (such as booking meeting rooms, or parking spaces) may be required
