The main purpose of this role is to provide the Air Vehicle Team Structures Sub-CAM with structural engineering capability.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to perform tasks suitable to the internal level of this role.
The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following;
- Provide the Air Vehicle Team Structures Sub-CAM with structural engineering capability and to support to Typhoon Tranche 3 provisions clearance and T2 EScan retro-fit assessment
- Additional structural engineering Finite Element Modelling (FEM) activities in support clearance of the Typhoon Structures workload within the Air Vehicle Team CAM 201 will need to be undertaken
- The task includes loading assessment, FEM idealisation, Analysis running and generation of structural analysis reports
- Perform and manage structural engineering FEA activities in support of qualification/repair/in-service support as required
- Carry out relevant stress analysis on existing/revised/new structural components in support of the qualification of the Typhoon airframe.
The following will be necessary of the successful candidate:
- Experience in NASTRAN/PATRAN
- Experience in FEA Idealisation
- UNIX/Linux experience
- Microsoft Office Experience
