Description
SAP Basis Consultant required for a large SAP Basis initiative with a major corporation. This position is part of the Technical Integration team, which provides the SAP Basis, technical infrastructure, and security for the SAP Basis project. You will participate in cross functional, global teams to design and implement standardized processes, preparing the organization to switch from current operating systems to an SAP based system. To support this major business process change, the client is implementing a sophisticated SAP technical architecture that includes ERP 6.0, SCM, SRM, APO, Portal, XI, and BW. This architecture is hosted at the client data center. We currently have about 10,000 users live in EMEA, North America and India. During 2012, we will do several deployments in EMEA and North America increasing the user base to 15,000 users. Over the next three years, the application will be implemented globally across the business with an expected 27,000 users when fully implemented.
Participate as a member of the SAP Infrastructure team to provide the technical project deliverables for SAP Basis and infrastructure. Provide operational support for the integration of the SAP infrastructure into the core business team and enterprise.
Provide day-to-day technical support to ensure infrastructure stability and address user reported issues.
Support the project teams during the development cycle and provide technical/infrastructure support during deployments.
Provide implementation and technical support for 3rd Party applications which are an extension of the SAP applications landscape.
