Meaningful Use Program Manager

Avery Partners Healthcare is seeking senior level health information technology (HIT) Consultants to work with our healthcare clients on their journey to Meaningful Use. The consultant will plan, develop, educate and provide oversight for all projects associated with attaining the meaningful use of certified electronic health records (EHR) technology as defined in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.

The Program Manager will assist the Client in complying with the HITECH meaningful use criteria by identifying where the Client does not meet the criteria today (gaps), defining a course of remedial action that will address these gaps, creating a high level roadmap with executable work plans and providing ongoing education and support to keep the Client on track to achieve Meaningful Use within its projected timeframes.

Responsibilities include:
Reviewing each meaningful use requirement including all of the Stage 1 menu set measures and determine which requirements are not in compliance
Incorporating the preliminary Stage 2 and Stage 3 requirements where appropriate
Interviewing key hospital representatives to confirm and gain additional depth on compliance and status of current projects
Identifying the gaps and develop recommendations on remediation for each requirement not in compliance
Reviewing current timeline for completion of remediation and compare to projected attestation dates for achievement of Stage 1 Meaningful Use
Updating/verifying CMS incentive payment calculations
Developing a final report of findings and recommendations
Developing a high level Roadmap with discrete projects for meeting Meaningful Use
Supporting execution of the Roadmap through assistance in the development of an executable Project Plan including charter, governance, scope, staffing, work plans and vendor product modules
Providing ongoing Meaningful Use education and updates
Providing monthly status updates on Meaningful Use attainment progress
Participating in monthly Meaningful Use Steering Committee meetings
Participating in quarterly reviews of scope, staffing and workplans
Providing guidance and coaching to Client Project Management and Executives
Assisting the Client in planning, timing and registration with CMS and the appropriate state
Facilitating the attestation process
