Title: Project Manager, North America Marketing
Approx Duration: 6-12 months depending upon quality of work and workload
Location: San Jose, CA

Primary Job
Responsibilities: The North America Marketing team at is currently expanding and seeking a Project Manager (PjM) who will provide overall program management for business units within NA Marketing as well manage the execution of individual marketing initiatives. The marketers will drive the marketing and business strategy while partnering with the PjM who will determine and gain commitment to Live to Site (LTS) dates, and drive the completion of multiple parallel projects towards the committed LTS dates.

The primary job responsibilities of this role include:
Understand high level pre-defined milestones for various marketing channels to provide draft timelines for planning purposes. The primary channels used are email and website build out, with some landing page, advertising on the PayPal site, and display and search marketing
Once business priorities are approved, validate scope of work expected, and work with functional managers to translate approved scope to resource requirements and to procure resources for project core team
Develop master project schedules and ensure marketing partner and cross functional team members agree to LTS and interim milestones. Refine schedule once program is approved and as necessary
Identify potential issues and develop risk mitigation strategies. Resolve problems, planning issues, and project changes/challenges. Escalate unresolved issues requiring senior management attention
Facilitate, coordinate and project manage cross functional team tasks and activities. Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure accuracy of project tasks, on time completion, and drive resolution of issues and constraints. Cross functional teams include Content, Visual Design, Localization, Legal, Web Development, Product Management, Campaign Operations, Analytics, and external design teams
Manage the Creative Development process to ensure that the creative teams understand the direction of Marketing, that communications between the teams are conveyed in a timely fashion and that Legal, Brand and other pertinent teams sign off on creative assets
Manage the Localization (L10N) process to ensure that creative assets are adapted and localized on time and with quality input from all regional/local and SJ based resources gained as appropriate

Job Requirements:
At least 4 years experience in project management working with multiple cross-functional teams
Experience in project managing large-scale projects required and demonstrated ability to handle multiple simultaneous programs
Able to independently drive projects through to completion; able to plan and prioritize multiple tasks effectively. Must have some experience with Internet, web-based projects and understand basics of website development
Knowledge of online marketing channels, in particular email and website development is critical. Ad serving, Internet marketing, and other marketing knowledge is strongly desired
Accustomed to working in a fast paced environment, upon occasion early morning or late evening schedule to catch contacts not based in San Jose
Experience with Latin America is a strong benefit
Experience with localization and adaptation within the creative process is a benefit
