Survey & Design Engineer - Melbourne - 12 month contract Super opportunity to work for leading Telco on a 12 month contract in CBD. Key Responsibilities:- Transmission network sites including PDH/SDH/IP microwave, DWDM, carrier Ethernet, PTN etc
- Mobile network sites including core, OSS, RAN equipment.
- Datacomms sites including core, OSS, RAN equipment
- Fixed network sites including NGN etc
- Make a schedule for technical survey and manage third party subcontractor for timely delivery of site survey reports
- Verify & update site location,site map, site access details, site delivery requirements and equipment room floor plan.
- Assess survey report and determine required site make ready works & site preparation civil works to ensure site readiness for base station and/or transmission equipment installation and commissioning
- Gather site info and conduct site inspection of existing equipment info for cabling mode, cabinet fixation,floor type, AC & DC power, air con, grounding system, BTS config and transmission technologies
- Report top deployment manager with daily/weekly report and attend regular meetings regarding site issues and subcontractor performance with respect to survey progress and design quality on a site by site basis
- Ensure that site surveys setup is in line with budgeted and agreed scope.
- Possible travel to regional sites as required
