Description
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Accountant to join the Financial Reporting team of this large Retail Bank based in the city.
Joining a small team this is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to take on a challenging role which will allow the to gain exposure to the following aspects:
- Assisting in the preparation and review of group consolidations.
- Analysing and agreeing intra-group and company transactions
- Preparing monthly accounts
- Preparing income statement and balance sheet information, collating and reviewing IFRS 7 disclosures and consolidation journals
- Preparing reconciliations of general ledger accounts
- Assisting in the preparation and review of the annual financial statements
The successful candidate will be ACCA qualified (or equivalent) and will have prior Statutory Accounting experience ideally within an Investment Banking environment.
You will have a thorough working knowledge of IFRS and the ability to analyse requirements. Understanding of banking and the accounting treatment of various banking and treasury products is also desirable.
