Due to the commencement of a large mining project our client is currently looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer who is ready to take the next step in their career. The role will see the successful candidate join our clients Queensland based operations to undertake a key construction focused role where you will be given the opportunity to further develop your skill set with the long term prospect of becoming an Area/Project Manager.
The role will include, but is not limited to the following key responsibilities:
- Responsibility for managing and supervising all construction activities for a specified area at site.
- Direct and participate construction contractor activities
- Providing support to safety and risk coordinators so that a safe working environment is maintained
- Determine and review cost trends and scopes of work
- Managing all activities and personnel under your direct control
To be successful in the role you will have a strong understanding of the construction activities of a multi-disciplinary organisation with proven experience in the construction phase of Coal Preparation or Process Plants. You will have a demonstrated ability in managing both internal teams and on-site contractors whilst maintaining a strong safety focus.
