Our Financial Services client based in Glasgow is seeking a Senior Payments Operations Manager to concentrate on Operational Management (Operational improvement, Operational Risk and Service Operations), Change & Integration Management & Personnel/Staff Management

Job Purpose

  • The role holder will be responsible for the delivery of a range of high value, high volume business critical processes through Leadership of departments in single or multiple sites.
  • Accountable for establishing high performance organisational standards through effective institution of performance development standards and measurements, recruitment of high calibre resources.
  • Accountable for establishing High Performance Organisation standards through effective institution of Performance Development standards and measurements, and where appropriate, disciplinary and grievance procedures.
  • Accountable for ensuring a high level of payment industry and process knowledge is acquired and maintained personally and by Operations staff to successfully deliver operations and advise on technical issues as required.Implement, deliver and monitor Regulatory Standards, to minimise and mitigate business risk.
  • Champion team process improvement ideas under continuous improvement. Accountable for departments, or sites sundry losses.
  • Accountable for Business Continuity Planning to build Real Time resilienceAccountable for development, delivery and maintenance of an effective Operational Risk Control environment.
  • Ensure the impact of change projects is successfully managed to support the successful implementation of change into the payment operations within agreed time-scales and budget and without deterioration in BAU service delivery

Essential skills/experience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Global Payments Operational Plans and strategy
  • An in depth knowledge of Group HR principles and practice, and a good working knowledge of employment and heath and safety regulations.
  • Proven experience in cost centre management Proven experience of operational risk management.
  • Financial Services background
