Capability/Training Manager - Sunbury
My client, a high profile oil & gas company, is looking for a Capability/Training Manager to join their team in Sunbury.
Key Results/Accountabilities
Co-ordinate the development & implementation of an integrated Audit Capability Strategy in partnership with key stakeholders
Responsible for co-ordinating all resource planning and forecasting, monitoring turnover, reporting status and identifying capability gaps
Co-ordinate and report on succession and development plans
Manage the internal and external recruitment (in conjunction with HR) for approximately 60 staff in 2012 and about 30 staff per year after that (as defined by the capability strategy and succession plans)
Conduct Training Analysis
Develop and manage all training programmes, from initial audit training to technical training including training for new hires and for existing experienced staff. This may include the use of external training providers as well as internally developed courses. As the auditors are home based, this will include a mix of classroom, home study and virtual learning
Management of the training budget
Management of one, potentially 2 staff

Interfaces with leadership team to identify capability strategy and training needs
Interface with HR to manage recruitment and other HR processes
Management of external training providers
Experience & Expertise
Learning & development, training background with a technical or operational background essential
Experience in developing people, particularly in an operational environment would be desirable, but equally important is a passion for seeing people build their skills
Strong facilitation and communication skills required
Strong influencing ability to engage colleagues at all levels in the organisation
