My client a large financial services brand is looking for an experienced Safety Specialist on a initial 3 month contract. This challenging and diverse role will also see you assist in developing health, safety and environmental strategies to support the business; you should possess the ability to engage, interact and influence key stakeholders along with demonstrable knowledge of current legislation and best practice. You will also undertake and support audits and inspections to ensure that the business is fully compliant with relevant legislation and company policies, investigate accidents and manage an internal safety advice line. Support of our Crisis Response Team agenda is a key part of the role, ensuring that we are fully prepared and responsive to a variety of situations.
You will need excellent organisational and IT skills combined with an eye for detail, with the ability to work alone and also as part of team whilst applying a practical and realistic approach to safety management.
Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a calm and professional manner and the ability to establish fully functioning relationships in a short space of time are essential.
